Thank you for the replies.
I am in the process of reinstalling TestComplete for a different reason at the moment. So I'll see if that improves things. If not, I'll contact Support.
On first look it does appear to have improved it. That is with a uninstall and install of 12.41 - the same version I was using previously. So this is good news... :)

Just a quick update:
12.40 is looking much better speedwise compared to 12.41.
Have raised a support case aswell just to raise awareness.
