How do we import one project into another with having them in same Suite?

Hi All, I am very new to TestComplete here my doubt is, how do we import one project into another with having
them in the same Project Suite?

I have a Project suite called Bvts, that project suite has two projects as Project
A and Projects B and the Projects A has 3 scripts.

Now I wanted to refer
the scripts of project A into Project B

Environment:-

TestComplete 8 with JavaScript, Please help me on this?

Thanks

    Right click on the Script node in project B and select Add | Existing item.  In the browser that comes up, browse to and select the script units that you want to include.
  • <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" />
    <meta content="Word.Document" name="ProgId" />
    <meta content="Microsoft Word 14" name="Generator" />
    <meta content="Microsoft Word 14" name="Originator" />

    Thanks Martin for your valuable reply :)

    The Add Unit reference is only in script level not in project level?

    Please correct me if I am wrong?  I am looking for the reference in project
    level which mean One project to another?

    Thanks

    Hi Ashok,

    As far as I know, there is no way to import the entire project to another project. If you want to import the scripts, you'll have to import each script one-by-one (as Robert suggested). To import other items (keyword tests, and so on), you can use the Add | Existing Item context menu item.

    I hope this helps :)

  • Thanks Irina  for your quick reply :) .

    I understand the system completely after going through Martin and your Commends
    and hence I Right click on the Script node in project B and select Add |
    Existing item and try to select the script from projects A, unfortunately I
    could not see any scripts even though there are some scripts exists in Projects
    A.

    Is there any other setting needs to be done to get this
    script in other projects as I am not using keyword tests

    As far as I know, there are no such settings.

    Did you save project A after adding the scripts to it? If you did, please contact our Support Team and send them your projects (both A and B) so they can reproduce the behavior.

    Thanks :)

  • Thanks Lukina and Martin for your help on this!!!!! My issue has been resolved :) :) :)
